Keep air circulating, especially if you don’t have air conditioning.
We live in a one bedroom apartment without central air. We are lucky in the summer because we don’t get bright direct sunlight. This means that our apartment stays cool. However, we always have the windows open or the fan circulating the air. We usually keep the curtains drawn in our bedroom to shut out the harsh sunlight. Let them play with ice cubes
My cats don’t always go for this one. I also totally get not wanting to find a giant puddle where your cat grew bored of this toy. However, whenever I pop some ice into their water dish they LOVE to stick their little paws in and bop them! The mess with this suggestion is also a little more contained
Finding them a dark, cool retreat
Whether this is the bedroom with the curtains drawn, or a cozy cardboard box, it’s great to have a space your cats can sleep in comfort without the beating rays of the sun.
