Grab an ofo bike and Cruise Revere Beach
Just outside the city & accessible via public transit, Revere is the place to go take in the warm, beach-y breeze. After cruising up the blue line, just hop off to find one of the bright yellow ofo bikes & take a ride by the water. ofo sponsored us to try their bikes, but as always all opinions are my own. I’m happy to welcome ofo bikes to our community – more fun activities below –
ofo is the world’s largest station-free bike sharing platform, which to me, is the biggest plus. I’ve used other station-based platforms (meaning you have to find a dedicated bike dock, with an open lock in order to return your bike on time). I find getting back to the ‘station’ to lock the bike pretty stressful. It takes time away from your use of the bike, and a lot of the time I end up walking the remainder of my journey. However, with ofo, that stress is eliminated – just lock the bike using the app and get directly where you are going.
After you get set up on the app, the user-friendly interface uses GPS to locate the nearest bike. Then scan the QR code to unlock the bike, and get to riding! Plus you can’t beat the cost at $1 per hour.
2. Leaf Peep at the Arboretum
The Arnold Arboretum is a gorgeous gem located in Jamaica Plain. Sanctuary to beautiful trees (and the not so welcomed wild turkey), you can get here by bus or a short uber. It has well maintained trails throughout the park, so it’s a great place to leisurely enjoy the unseasonable weather over a well packed picnic.
3. Take a Drive to Blue Hills
Blue Hills Reservation is a gorgeous & quick trip just outside of Boston. While it usually requires a member of your party to have a car, the quick hike to the top offers a gorgeous view of our beautiful city at it’s peak. As the weather begins to cool, the leaves will look spectacular from your vantage point!
How have you been taking advantage of this unseasonable weather?
