I love updating an a well-loved outfit into something new & exciting. As a fashion blogger and clothes hoarder, I’m always looking for another way to spice up a favorite ensemble. in this case, I updated my favorite chambray shirt dress with this quick & easy skirt tutorial.
When I first saw this fabric I thought of immediately of crunchy fall leaves. I wasn’t certain where I would wear this soft sheer fabric, but, taking a lot of inspiration from the beauty of the outdoors – I knew I needed to take it home. A popular holiday look, tulle skirts give an outfit volume and a touch of feminine charm. & in the case with this tulle – I can literally be Autumn walking (leaf emoji here)
1.5 yards of tulle
Ribbon (your waist measurement)
1-2 inches of 1/2″ elastic
1. The width is 1.5 times your waist measurement or 2x for a very full look. Cut ribbon to your waist measurement.
2. Bast stitch the top of the skirt. Evenly space and pin fabric to the ribbon.
3. Sew button and small ribbon ( I used elastic) for button hole to close the skirt.
