Last weekend, before the streets closed to the masses flocking to the Boston Marathon, we did a little exploring around Beacon Street. I’ve always enjoyed the rustically cobbled streets that are lined with gluttony. Here you can feast on beautiful, trendy styles from boutique windows or on literal Italian pastries in one of the many delicious savory shops. Beacon makes for perfect detour if walking through the Commons on a springy day. My second favorite part about this area, besides the pure unadulterated New England charm, is the view of the Charles when you reach the end. The sailboats conversationate on the water like nautical fans, making it the perfect place to find a spot to enjoy the scenery dockside.
