DIY Strappy Black Flat
With uses both casual and professional, this romantic style has frequented storefronts all summer. I found these flats sadly tucked in the land of forgotten shoes, which, as for most, is underneath my bed. Used once for an interview with a boring, black suit, I figured they deserved a second life. On my way out the door, I felt my outfit was missing some delicate details. Luckily, this DIY was quick and rewarding – Up-cycling shoes is not only budget-friendly, but it also can take the work out of breaking in a beautiful shoe, making more happy days together.
What You’ll Need
- Black flats
- 3 yards of elastic cording
First, cut your elastic cording in half, so you will have two 1.5 yard pieces.
Using a needle, poke a hole in the desired area. Widen the hole with scissors by twisting lightly.
Pairs well with red lipstick, autumn strolls, and posing in your empty apartment.
